“Verily, we have made Music as a ladder for your souls, …”

“Verily, we have made Music as a ladder for your souls, …… a means whereby they may he lifted up unto the realm on high …”

(Bahá’u’lláh, The Kitáb-i-Aqdas).

Listening and being touched….
‘Music allows you to experience something and evokes sympathetic reactions that eventually can be absorbed in your own inner life. You’re being socialized, even by the most personal and intimate music or perhaps in particular thereby.’

From: ‘The Soul of the World’ by Roger Scruton, 2015

The first steps to learning understand music

Playing with music.

An intense immersion in music can be a profound experience; one you carry with you for life. Experiences with music can help children to develop their identity and if you want to invest in their future, you can’t start early enough.

Listening is easily combined with movement. And there is more; the power of music lies in the fact that it touches so many areas of yourself. It’s amazing what music does on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. When I listen to music, I start dancing, singing and sometimes sculpting. My Audio Sculptures are music images of LP’s, inspiration that came to me while I was immersed in the music!
